Tokyo, August 1, 2017 --- Hitachi Systems, Ltd. ("Hitachi Systems"), a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (TSE: 6501), today announced that it will restructure its group companies in Singapore with the aim of expanding business in Southeast Asia.
Specifically, Hitachi Sunway Network Solutions (S) Pte. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi Sunway Information Systems Sdn. Bhd., which is a joint venture with Malaysian IT solutions provider Sunway Technology Sdn Bhd, will be made into a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi Systems and renamed Hitachi Systems Digital Services (Singapore) Pte. Ltd.
The newly launched Hitachi Systems Digital Services (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. will aim to strengthen cooperation with Hitachi Asia Ltd. and other members of the Hitachi Group in Singapore and expand the IT infrastructure building and the managed service business centering on security fields for private and public sectors, and the service business for medical and healthcare operators.
Meanwhile, Hitachi Sunway Information Systems Sdn. Bhd. will aim to expand business through deploying PLM solutions, ERP solutions, IT infrastructure solutions & managed services and data center solutions aggressively in ASEAN.
Hitachi Systems, in light of the recent growing trend towards digitalization, will seek to expand business through making group-wide efforts to deploy its social innovation business globally utilizing the group's digital technology.
