Happy New Year to everyone.
First, I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who supported our customers over the year-end and New Year holiday period. Please make sure to take sufficient rest in return, prepare yourself both mentally and physically, and face the new year in good health.
What I would like to reiterate to you all is that protecting safety and health takes precedence over everything else. When you are healthy both mentally and physically, both your work and personal life can be made even more fulfilling. In 2026 as well, please always keep in mind the principles of “protecting your own health”, “basics and ethics”, “right and wrong over profit and loss”, and “S (Safety) >> Q (Quality) > D (Delivery) > C (Cost)”.
In 2025, by capturing growth in the domestic market, we achieved steady growth through efforts such as responding to local government system standardization, the expansion of data center services driven by demand for generative AI, and the success of “ValueUP initiatives”.
I would like to express my sincere appreciation for everyone’s dedicated efforts.
Hitachi Systems will mark its 15th anniversary since its establishment in 2011 as a unique company providing true one-stop services, from system development to operation, maintenance, and construction.
During this time, society has placed increasing emphasis on ESG (environmental, social, and governance factors). In the IT domain, cloud adoption has advanced, digitalization has evolved into digital transformation, and initiatives for environmental measures and decarbonization have evolved into green transformation, transforming corporate business models and organizational culture. In line with these social and business model changes, the Hitachi Systems Group has grown its consolidated revenue from approximately 360 billion yen to over 600 billion yen, expanded overseas group companies, and increased its workforce from approximately 16,000 to over 20,000 employees. Going forward, with advances in generative AI and shifts toward internal development, we will enter an era in which the value of our service offerings will be questioned more than ever. That is precisely why we must continue to transform ourselves in step with the times.
To advance this transformation, it is essential that we align on the future we aim to realize and our direction, and work together as one. To that end, we are promoting the “Future Compass” initiative, which envisions and communicates the future of the Hitachi Systems Group. As I listen to you in our daily interactions, I strongly sense your desire to change and to grow. I myself am determined in 2026 to take on challenges toward transformation and growth more than ever before.
Specifically, we will promote the transformation of our business portfolio (business structure) and accelerate the scaling of DX services in growth areas through cross-industry horizontal deployment and multi-fold expansion. Building on this, we will expand into recurring managed services that continuously improve services and provide added value. Furthermore, by thoroughly leveraging advanced technologies such as generative AI, we will enhance service delivery value in addition to improving productivity.
In 2026, building on the trust and achievements that the Hitachi Systems Group has cultivated over the past 15 years, let us raise our awareness of “One HISYS” and “One Hitachi”, and together take on new challenges both to provide value to society and to achieve sustainable growth.
I conclude my address by wishing our customers, partners, members of the Hitachi Systems Group and their families, and all other stakeholders good health and a bright and fulfilling year in both their professional and personal lives.
